The Far Far East Creatures Coloring Book (or, "Ha Long Bay" Creatures), by Liem Thanh Tran, got its inspiration from the author's childhood dreams. Now, after living in the author's mind for so many years, he puts them on paper for the enjoyment and fun of all readers.
This whole new "Zoo" of imaginary animals began because the author wanted to create unique pictures for his daughter, Vivian, to color. His daughter enjoyed them so much, he continued to create more, and now author and daughter are delighted to share their "zoo" with you.
Liem Thanh Tran was born in Vietnam, and came to the United States in 1980 as a refugee. He learned drafting in college, and has worked for many years in machine design. Now a resident of the state of Washington, the author is married and has one daughter.
Thanks to my Mom (Barbara Edward) who sponsored me when I came to U.S. in 1980 and took me to North Seattle Community College; and also thanks to the best friend of mine (Richard T. Helms of Cumberland, Washington State, USA.) who encouraged me to publish these Coloring Books.
